To REA Members and Affiliates

REA is pleased to announced that an MOU has just been executed between REA and Solar Energy International one of the premier sustainable energy organizations in the US. Interestingly, Larry Bardouille of Dominica is now a student there. I had introduced Larry to Ben Uyeda and Jordan Goldman of Independence Energy Homes (the corporate derivative of the award winning 2006 Solar Decathlon Cornell University team) during their April 2006 site visit to Dominica. He explained his plans to soon study solar in the US not knowing he was in discussion with our future partner!  Small world.

With this competence on our side we can train interested persons in the urban and rural areas of the US, to include our members and affiliates in Dominica and internationally. http://www.solarenergy.org/ will allow us to build competence where we need it and train the human resource we need to accomplish our goals. All members with potential projects or trainee candidates, take note and contact us.  We should encourage young persons to seriously consider training in the area of sustainable energy and promote its inclusion in the school curriculum at senior high school and college level.

Let us commend Yasmin Noel of our law firm affiliate for her unswerving efforts to get this alliance formalized and her negotiations of the MOU on our behalf.

Sincerely yours,

Gabriel J. Christian, Esq.
